Melanie & Eric
Melanie and Eric were married in St. Augustine on the evening of the Grand Illumination. During the British period from 1763 to 1783, the city was secured every night by guards marching by lantern light to lock the gates. On special occasions or holidays, the night watch was made into a festive event. The population of St. Augustine would participate and carry a candle or lantern in the parade. The parade would end with volleys of muskets, singing, and merriment. This tradition is brought back to the city each December.
Melanie and Eric were married at the Oldest House Garden, and hosted a reception at The White Room.
