Meet Our WEDDING PLANNERS

First Coast Weddings and Events was founded in 2002 with the mission to create stylish, fun, and memorable weddings on Florida's First Coast. We realize that every couple is unique, and every wedding should be too.  Our entire team is trained in event logistics, managing vendors and wedding protocol to ensure you receive the most professional service possible. Schedule your complimentary phone consultation to get acquainted today!

Your lead planner will be assigned to your wedding once your contract has been signed, and she will be your main contact throughout the planning process and wedding day. We match you with your wedding planner based on the services contracted, your wedding venue, and other factors that ensure a good fit for your event. For event management services, your lead planner will be assigned 2 months prior to your wedding, at which time she will contact you to schedule a detail review.

Heather Canada Randall.png

HEATHER CANADA Randall, MWP

Heather founded First Coast Weddings in 2002, having worked in the hospitality industry since 1996 and graduating from Flagler College in 1998. Her favorite flowers are white anemones, and she loves visiting the mountains of Colorado. Heather will monogram just about anything that stands still, and is slightly obsessed with stainless steel tumblers and bottles. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing by the pool, visiting Walt Disney World, and tackling home improvement projects with her husband Chad. Heather’s favorite wedding tradition is the first look or first touch - just a special few moments for the couple to be alone before the ceremony!

Emma Murfin.png

EMMA MURFIN

Emma joined First Coast Weddings in 2006, and she is also a graduate of Flagler College. She loves to travel internationally, but is equally happy walking by the ocean in St. Augustine Beach or exploring great restaurants around town. Emma is a yoga teacher, and she’s great at keeping everyone calm in stressful situations. Her favorite flower is the peony, and she loves everything rose gold! She wishes that every couple would hire a videographer for their wedding because the day goes by so quickly. She and her husband Drew watch their video every year on their anniversary, and now their children watch it with them.

Kari Smith.png

Kari Smith

Kari joined First Coast Weddings in 2012, after working in the wedding industry in Orlando for several years. She encourages couples to add sentimental touches to their wedding day. During their wedding ceremony, her husband Tim wore her grandfather’s ring on his right hand, and had a special handkerchief from her sister in his pocket. Kari had special mementos from friends and family sewn into her dress - a special tag from her best friend, her great grandmother’s brooch and a necklace pendant from her sister. Her favorite flowers are dahlias, she enjoys traveling with her husband and baby girl in her free time, and she can’t live without mac and cheese.

Laura-Salmon.png

LAura Salmon

Laura joined First Coast Weddings in 2017, and is also a graduate of Flagler College. She loves garden roses, daisies, and everything pink. After 6 years working in the hospitality industry, Laura’s favorite part of a wedding is witnessing the love couples share with each other. On wedding days, her goal is to take away the stress and worry from not only the couple, but the family (typically parents) as well so they can enjoy the day that they have dreamed about for so long. In her free time, Laura and her husband Jamey enjoy being outdoors, whether it’s golfing, fishing, or going to the beach.
