Planning a wedding from across the country can be a challenge, and Haley and Brett managed the process from Chicago while relying on local support here in Jacksonville. Although Haley’s parents live in the area, the couple needed guidance to bring her garden inspired vision from the design board to the wedding day. They selected Jacksonville Golf and Country Club for both the ceremony and reception and hoped to host the entire celebration outdoors. The club frequently holds member events on the lawn, but full outdoor wedding receptions are less common, which meant careful planning was essential.

Epping Forest Yacht and Country Club, originally built in the mid-1920s as the grand estate of Alfred I. duPont and Jessie Ball duPont, remains an enduring symbol of elegance along the St. Johns River. In the 1980s, the mansion was restored with great care and added to the National Register of Historic Places, and today it stands as a private club that blends its storied past with refined modern amenities.

Heather and her team were absolutely incredible throughout this entire process. She kept us on a great timeline, found incredible vendors, and generally took a huge load off of our plates during this busy time. Heather also provides a sweet, comforting, and calming presence both on the big day and at every meeting leading up to the wedding. She struck the perfect balance of providing helpful information while also encouraging us to express what we wanted on our day. I came in with not a lot of clarity on what I wanted the day to look like and she was amazing at guiding us and helping craft the perfect wedding. The wedding day was everything we hoped for and more and I could not recommend Heather and the First Coast Wedding team highly enough!!
